You can’t act in the past because it’s no longer here. You can’t act in the future because the future has not yet arrived.
I used to practice taking action with a divided mind. For example, I’d be physically present with family but mentally thinking about work. Now, I use systems that allow me to be fully present with the people I’m with. Once it’s time to get back to work, I know exactly what I need to do to be effective.
Put your whole mind and activity into your present action because it is this present-minded activity will lead to your prime productivity!
Are you effectively investing your time and activity into today (and not regretting the past or avoiding the future)?
‘Tomorrow’ is the thing that’s always coming but never arrives. ‘Today’ is the thing that’s already here and never leaves. And because that’s the case, I would much prefer to invest in today than sit around waiting for an arrival that’s not arriving. ~ Craig D. Lounsbroug
